Aggregations, or groups of customers joining together to buy electricity, capitalize on the buying power of a large group of electricity consumers. The group then works with energy experts to evaluate electricity pricing options and secures a favorable electricity plan for their members.
By working with aggregations, our experts are able to deliver benefits like low, stable and environmentally-friendly pricing plans to large groups of customers, many of whom may lack the expertise or resources to do so on their own.
Examples of aggregations we’ve worked with:
- Regional Organizations - Cape Light Compact, a regional, inter-municipal organization made up of 21 towns in Barnstable and Dukes counties in Massachusetts, represent and negotiate for lower cost electricity and green power offerings for approximately 200,000 electricity consumers.
- Cities - The City of Marlborough, Massachusetts represents, and negotiates for stable, low electricity costs for, their consumers, providing eligible consumers with guaranteed savings over utility rates.
- Collaborative Groups/Chambers of Commerce – A group of over 30 large manufacturers and other large energy users pooled their electricity usage together to buy power in a way that maximizes market opportunities to provide members with significant savings on electricity. Over three years, members saved more than $12.4 million in electricity costs.
